Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Tyler May

Why I Became a Dentist:

Given that my dad was an entrepenuer, I have known that I would go into business for myself, but it wasn't until I was 19 that I decided to be a dentist. I recall being a chaperone on a field trip for Midway Elementary. During this trip I noticed a child that needed dental treatment. It was then that I found I had a desire to become a dentist. After more than a decade I have taken that from a desire to a reality, and it is even better than I imagined. I find great satisfaction in providing dentistry and giving people an improved smile.

About Me:

As most know, I grew up here in Heber and Midway. Back then, Heber was a hidden gem, but now it seems like the secret is out! More and more people are enjoying the splendors of this area.

My favorite pastimes include enjoying the mountains that surround us, whether on a bike, four-wheeler, or by foot. I definitely took this place for granted as a kid, so to be back in my childhood city is something I cherish.

I met my wife at Utah Valley University and we were married in 2005. She endured dental school with me at The Ohio State University by going to the Buckeye football games and by finding areas for us to go rock climbing. We now have three children, Ashton, Madelyn and Sawyer. Each of them with their own reasons they make me proud. Pediatric dentistry is an area that I really enjoy, and I attribute that to my love for my own kids.

After graduating from Ohio State in 2011, we moved to Amarillo Texas to practice for two years and then moved to Stansbury Park while I worked in Salt Lake City. During this time, I was able to study more closely the area of endodontics, implants and oral surgery by spending my free -time at specialty offices, attending mini-residencies, and taking continuing education courses.

We moved back to Heber City in 2014 and were fortunate to acquire Dr. Ford's practice. TimberRidge Dental is an incredible office with great staff and a warm feeling. I am glad to be home and I look forward to meeting you.
